Mountain Day opens appropriately with the first Briton to summit Mount Everest - Doug Scott. Following Doug's POWERTALK is an open talk with Geoff Allan on Scottish bothies. In the theatre is the super-rare treat of seeing Pete Whittaker and Hazel Findlay discussing their climbs together.

Our second POWERTALK of the day is with the legend Mick Fowler. Nigel Buckley of the Alpine Club will then give an open talk on some of the AC's treasures! There's a second chance to see Doug Scott - this time interviewed by Jon Barton. Expect good mountaineering films to be scheduled in.
